a simple life

I have gotten in the habit over the past year or so of keeping Sunday evenings simple. If we are out somewhere I try to get home early, I have found that it keeps me calm and I can get things set for Monday morning and some things for the rest of the week. I really enjoy the slow pace, it’s a welcome change from the constant running around Monday through Saturday. We all have very busy lives, me, my husband, and the kids so Sunday nights are important to me. I like the fact that everyone has time to get caught up on the week that passed and prepared for the week ahead. I try to keep Sunday plans for the middle of the day and what we are doing close to home as much as possible. Sometimes we are out late when it can’t be helped, but not too often. I mean you can cut everything short especially if it’s something fun that you don’t get to do all the time. There are always exceptions.
Can you fit a slow day or evening into your regular weekly schedule? I bet you can if you try, and once you pick your day, stick with it.Keep things lite and fun, plan to get home early so everyone has time to do what they need without rushing and trying to get done in a hurry. It may take a while to get used to and at first you may get a little bored but after a few weeks you will get into the groove and quiet relaxing time feels good. So give it a try, I bet you will get hooked.
