Crunches are for you abs, not for neck.

Reduce the strain on your neck by following these simple tips.

Keep your chin up and pointed toward the ceiling, you should always be able to fit your fist between your chin and neck.

Relax your head in your hands and look straight up, now hold that spot and when you lift up, lift upwards raising you shoulders off the floor. Aim for the ceiling not for your knees.

I’ve been making an effort to work out every day but I don’t have a lot of time, so I’ve been doing about 20 minutes each day. To get the most out of each work out I have been doing exercises that use one or more groups of large muscles, and work against gravity. This way I can get endurance strength and even a little cardio every time. Simple basic exercises can be very effective when done regularly.

If you don’t have much time or space that’s fine, you can get yourself started with some crunches, push-ups, squats with front arm raises, lunges with side arm raises and leg lifts. The more reps and sets you do the more intense the workout. Do a few or as many of each as you can each day even if it’s only one set. You can also spend 5 minutes at a time several times a day and do one set of one exercise at a time. Set it up so it works for you and remember you can customize your workout each day to fit your schedule.

Do it every day so it becomes habit and it will become easier and easier to do. You may even find yourself looking forward to the time you spend working out. It’s definitely time well spent. You will feel and look better, and increase you energy. Best of all its simple, you only need a little time a small space and no equipment. It doesn’t get much easier than that. So find yourself 5 minutes and get started today.

Take steps to protect yourself from the sun

Remember to use sun block and reapply every 2 hours

Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration

And find a shady spot or head into the water to stay cool.
