Keep your life moving forward.

It’s ok to learn from past mistakes as long as you apply what you learn to the present situation.

Set your goals and work hard now to create your future.

Live in the now, the past is behind you and the future is not yet here.

Enjoy the journey and don’t miss out on what you can learn today, to create a better tomorrow.

Live for today

Stay the course.
When you find something that works for you keep moving full speed ahead.
Keep it up even when things get rough and you'll be better for it.

One Step Closer

ONE step closerWell after this past Friday I’m one step closer to my goal, earning my Black Belt, from Elite TOMA Martial Arts Academy. I completed my Brown Belt and have moved on to Brown 1. I remember my first few belt tests, watching the higher level belts and thinking, how am I ever going to learn to do that. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we allow ourselves. Taking things one step at a time you slowly build skill, knowledge, and confidence along the way.

I still have more than a year to go, befor I get to my goal. I need to learn all the requirements for this new belt and one more. After that I go back and begin to relearn everything from the beginning and up again. I’m sure it will be challenging, but I look forward to it. I have enjoyed my training so far and am quite proud of myself and all I have learned over the past few years. None of it happened over night, but I worked hard and got this far, as I continue on I will need to do the same, take small steps, and move forward slowly.

Remember when you want to reach a long term goal, stay focused on what you are doing now, enjoying the learning process, and give yourself the time and attention you need to complete everything . There is no rush and cutting corners to get to the end faster, it cuts down the value of the experience.

Take your time and get the most out of each experience, you get so much more that way.

If you really want it you can make it work.

Try everything you can till you find what you like.

Do it when it’s convenient for you.

Do whatever it takes to keep you motivated.

You don’t need to be an Olympian you just want to be healthy and fit.
So what if you are not athletic, you’re not trying to win a gold medal.
Try taking beginner class at the gym or for something you always wanted to learn, such as, skiing, swimming, dance, golf, dance, yoga, martial arts. It’s never too late to learn, and there is no pressure to be the best. All that matters is that you do your best.
